Hotels

There are a variety of accommodations in France to choose from. Hotels are always the main choice of travelers. Here, hotels are rated by a one star to four star system. A one star hotel is a budget accommodation hotel, a two star hotel is a tourist hotel, a three star hotel is a first class hotel while a four star hotel is reserved for deluxe accommodations.

There are also a lot of bed and breakfast establishments to choose from in France. You may find yourself renting a room in a farm or a village house, or you may end up in a huge mansion. The price for your stay may depend upon the owner and the amenities may differ but they usually offer one meal a day, usually lunch or dinner.

If you plan to stay in one particular location in France for a longer period of time then renting a condo, villa or apartment is a cheaper alternative if you don't mind doing your own cleaning and cooking. Contact the nearest local French tourism board in the area where you plan to stay since they have a list of available agencies that cater to your needs.

Whatever accommodations you choose, make sure that you are comfortable in it. Check out the rooms first and if you aren't happy with it ask for another one, most lodgings would be glad to accommodate you.
