Nightlife
The nightlife in France is vibrant and active. In many major cities like Paris, Lyon or Marseilles there are nightclubs that offer free entrances although sometimes the drinks are more expensive. The bars and pubs open all night in major cities. In cities there are lots of discotheques and nightclubs while in provinces the French generally spend the night eating and drinking.
The nightclubs and cabarets are expensive places to hang out at night but you get your moneys worth since they provide lavish floor shows. Most people who visit these places belong to the older crowd.
For those tourists who are in their 20's or 30's you may want to check out the hundreds of dance clubs in the country. If you prefer jazz, salsa or rock then there are also establishments that cater to this genre.
Bars and pubs are also available to enjoy in France. Many of these places are youth oriented, if you belong to the older crowd then there are deluxe bars that cater to you. Wine bars are also becoming popular among Parisians. The food in this bar is better with a more inviting ambiance.
Another way to enjoy the nightlife in France is just to stroll along the Seine. Many joggers and saxophone players come here and many people take part in impromptu dance parties.
